Our Approach

Our business is founded on three basic principles:

  1. Always do the right thing
  2. Always do the best you can
  3. Always treat others like you would like to be treated

These principles are used, not only in business but how we deal with others.  If we produce a product, it does not leave the shop unless we are satisfied with the quality.

Our Story

T&M Specialty was founded in 1998 by Walter and Eva Toney.  We started this company because a close friend of ours was looking for caps for his employees.  The prices he was getting were far more than he could afford.  After a little research, I found all of those he contacted had enormous profit margin.  Therefore, I told him I could do them cheaper.  We purchased our first embroidery machine and embroidered his caps.  He was thrilled at the price!  From that day 20 years ago, our business has grown tremendously.  We have several clients and companies that we do 100% of their embroidery needs.  We pride ourselves working with the medical industry furnishing them with high quality lab coats, shirts and jackets.

Eva turned a hobby into a business!  She has been a professional seamstress for over 50 years, and in addition to her alteration business, she assists Walter with embroidery and monograming projects.  With the addition of additional new equipment, Eva also now does quilting.

Walter is a member of the IONIC Masonic Lodge #234, Al Menah Shrine, and several embroidery organizations.  He is also a honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served our country in Vietnam.
